Q. What is Sugar River Bank MyPay P2P (Person2Person)?
A. It allows our customers with personal checking or money market accounts to send funds to virtually anyone who has an email address and a bank account in the United States via their Sugar River Bank Online Banking and Mobile Banking app. The recipient confirms the payment by providing the “Keyword” and their account information in a safe and confidential transmission. Examples of ways you can use this service:
- Pay a friend for lunch or a movie
- Send money to kids in college
- Give a gift to a family member or friend
- Pay the babysitter, lawn service, house cleaner, etc.
Q. What is a “Keyword”?
A. The “Keyword” is a special word that only you and your payee will know. You will input the “Keyword” when you set up a MyPay P2P payment. Your payee will need this word to complete the transaction.
Q. What is the cutoff time to have a payment process same day?
A. 3:00 PM for all payments-including new payments (these must be accepted by the payee by 3:00PM EST). Weekend and holiday deposits will be processed the next business day.
Q. Are there payment amount limits?
A. Yes, per payment-$1,000; not to exceed $1,000 daily.
Q. What is the fee for this service?
A. Currently there is no bank charge for this service. Depending on your delivery method, connectivity and usage rates may apply. Contact your wireless/internet service provider for more details.
Q. Which customers are eligible?
A. To use MyPay P2P, the customer must have a Sugar River Bank checking account. Payments submitted should be consumer to consumer payments. The customer must also have access to Online Banking through an internet browser.
Q. How long does it take for the payee to receive the funds?
A. Generally, it takes 2-3 banking days for the payee to receive the funds. P2P is an ACH entry and this feature utilizes the ACH Network to send money to the payee. Payments can take up to 3 banking days for new payees. New payee setup is a one-time occurrence, so subsequent payments often take less time.
Q. How do I enroll in P2P?
A. Once you have added and configured the MyPay send money widget (Please see P2P Enrollment Guide above for specific instructions), you click on the widget to enroll. You then follow the prompts to set up your profile.

A. It's a small application with limited functionality that can be installed and executed within a web page. Below is the Sugar River Bank MyPay widget. This widget allows the user access to the Person2Person feature:
Q. Can I send P2P Payments through Mobile Banking?
A. Yes, access can be gained through the mobile app once you have established one active payee via PC or MAC web browser through NetTeller Online Banking.

A. Within the widget, you will see two options available to you-telephone and live chat. With the exception of weekends and holidays, someone will be available to assist you from 7:30AM to 2:00AM EST Monday-Friday.
